So, I'm a lazy blogger..But I have something cute to share today!
I love Thimble Blossoms..no secret there...I love their fabrics, quilts, patterns, EVERYTHING! I wanted to make the big version of this quilt, but when I saw the mini version, I just had to try it out!
I used some of my beloved happy go lucky scraps, and added a few scrumptious prints too.
They looked so pretty all cut out and lined up!
I quilted it will straight lines, the width of my walking foot, with the stitch length set on 3.
The nice thing about mini's is that the backing only takes a fat quarter. It fits perfect, with a little wiggle room.
Rainbow happiness right there. I made it for a gift, but I'm not sure I can part with it! Sigh, I always say that!
Have a great weekend!
I've been missing in action...I have actually been making all sorts of goodies. I just haven't made time to blog about it.
We started a new year of school..
Alyson-Grade 3, Brooklyn Grade 7
Passed another round of swimming lessons. Both girls! Woot!
And My Mom and I started selling our goodies at Pernickety In Lacombe, AB.
If you're in the Red Deer, Lacombe, area you should stop by. There are many local artisans with their creations there. It is a lovely store! Say Hi to Kelly for me!
Have a great day!

I have a super cute, quick and fun X's and O's quilt to show off today :)
I used up my Apple of my Eye by Riley Blake fabric that I have be hoarding. finally.
These blocks are 8 inches square, and the white ones are 4" square. They are really fast and easy to chain piece since they are all the same! Yay for easy and fast!! Stay tuned.. I saved the corners and will make something with those ;)
I added a 2.5 inch border, and binded it using the pink apple fabric. I machine stitched it for durability. The backing is the same as the border.
It measures 49" wide by 63" long. A nice throw/ couch size.
I'm not sure where this one will end up, my youngest daughter says its hers!
Have a great weekend!
So I kinda copied it ;) I went through my fabric stash, and tried to pick the right fabrics for a unisex quilt -->no Pink! And started cutting :)
I then started sewing the blocks in rows, then sewing the rows together. I was a really, really quick process when you don't worry about matching seams!!
I quilted it with straight lines, using my presser foot for the distance between the lines. A little more time consuming, but It looks cool with the pattern.
I made a pieced back, and used a cool red for the binding. Love it!!
So fun, and a great weekend project!
I have been hoarding this bliss fabric by Bonnie & Camille for Moda for years. I loved it so much I bought the fat quarter bundle. Which was pretty pricey for someone who has never even sewn before!!
But I had to have it. And I had to make myself something with it. I wanted something that would show off all the awesome fabrics included. I found a pic of this quilt online, so I decided I could copy it!
It's quite big, almost a queen size. I can really wrap myself up in it!
My first scrappy binding. *Sigh* I just love everything about it!
Thanks for stopping by, Have a great weekend :)
I made this Pow Wow Quilt pattern in a bright selection of rainbow fabrics. It a crib size, ready for a cute little baby boy or girl :)
This pattern is by Cluck Cluck Sew. I stalk her blog all the time, bought her book, and want to sew my way through it!
It a generous size, that's my eight year old daughter holding it up :)
The back is polka dot, and I binding it with the turquoise. It's a favorite color around here ;)
This quilt is listed for sale over at my Etsy Store.
Have a great day!
I had left over scraps from a quilt I was making myself. Bliss is my absolute favorite fabric from Bonnie and Camille by Moda. They were all the size of charm pack square cut in half (5" X 2.5"). They were even half sewn together. I had to find something pretty to do with them!
Then I found this tutorial from Moda Bake Shop. It's call Stacked Coins by AmandaJean. With my leftovers perfect, and already half sewn, This quilt top literally took about an hour to sew together!
and quilted it with a scrappy (awesome-ly beautiful) binding. Charlie loved it too!
Denim and Flannel, nice, warm and cozy. Great for winter cabins and summer picnics! I've seen few pics of denim rag quilts floating around the internet, and I just had to try one.
I used 3 different shades of blue flannel, and cut them 6 inches square. Keeping with the blue theme, I found some navy flannel at my lqs.
It's quite heavy..and awesome :)
Wahm to Brooklyn (10) and Alyson (7), married to Jeremy. Hairdressing is my first passion (it pays the bills), and stamping is my OBSESSION! I have a weakeness for Papertrey, Copic Markers and Buttons!
